"don't make it more than it is"
Retouching, I do it, and I recommend everybody do it for themselves. When you know the stuff and more and more work is coming towards you, go ahead and send your work to a retoucher.
But I love it, when retouching Advertising images I sometimes go different direction than I previously intended and end with an amazing result than no retoucher would ever pursue.
To get back on track: my headshot retouching is pretty simple and can be done easily in 15 minutes. One more note here - I've switched to Capture One 8 - yes I haven't upgraded to 9 yet. Capture 1 just makes my life easier - better image straight of the bat - less work for me. Yay!
